Hansa’s is strongly entwined in many charitable organisations. We are extremely passionate about our involvement in helping local school and child education and welfare charities, and have proudly raised £20,000 up to date.
Our ‘Party Chef Hansa’ package, is one of the functions that help us to raise money for child education. At £250 for home-catering to 8 people, we put all the money towards Saraswati Vidhiyalaya, a UK educational charity for one teacher school projects run in India and Nepal by ‘The 3R’s Educational Foundation of UK’. For the price of one evening’s unique and delicious cuisine, one school can be funded for the entire year. Now that is what we call rewarding!
Hansa’s also hold cookery events with demonstrations from Hansa herself. We follow this with a buffet meal which is held at Leeds Grammar School, and also put on food stalls to help us raise money. Our last stalls were in aid of the local Springbank Primary School, in order to fund the PTA (Parent-Teacher association), and anything the school was in need of.
We recently held a charity dinner at Hansa’s for the Funzi and Bodo Trust, which is a charity for children schools and hospital clinics in East Africa. It was so successful that we plan to hold many more for charities all over the world.
HANSA AND GSAL JOINT DONATION- Hansa’s Restaurant and the students at Grammar School at Leeds raised £5000 joimtly and donated a cheque to Mr. Hasmukh Shah of The 3 R’s Education Trust in UK. They help to the One -Teacher Schools projects in India and Nepal run by Sarawati Vidhyalaya in India.
In addition, Hansa’s holds many sponsored charity events like walks and climbs. Our most triumphant climbs were Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro. We managed to raise hundreds of pounds for our chosen charities, and had great support from all our customers and sponsors.
We have many upcoming charity events, and will keep you posted so that you can get involved too!
